Registration of a SeAMK ID

Account registration

1. Go to https://id.seamk.fi.

2. Press the Register button.

3. Press the Authenticate button. You will switch to the Suomi.fi service for strong authentication.

4. Select the desired authentication method. The service uses Suomi.fi authentication, which works with online banking IDs, a mobile certificate or an identity card.

5. Once you have logged in, you will see what information is transmitted to the SeAMK User Registration and Password Change service. Press the Continue to Service button to proceed with the username registration.

6. Read the terms of use and if you accept the terms of service, press the I accept these terms button.

7. Enter the desired password in the Password field and the Password again field. Finally, press the Change Password button.

Password requirements:

  • The password is case sensitive
  • Must contain at least 1 lowercase letter
  • Must contain at least 1 uppercase letter
  • The length must be at least 8 characters
  • Must contain at least 1 number
  • Must not contain prohibited special characters
  • Must not contain part of your name or username
  • May not contain common words or letter combinations

Special characters in the password may cause you to no longer be able to log in to some of SeAMK’s services. If this happens after changing the password, try changing the password first
itself to the new.

Do not use the same password on other systems and websites of other service providers. The same password in different services will compromise your security.

8. All done! On the website you can see e.g. username and email address. At the bottom of the page there are also useful links to SeAMK’s services.

Changing your password if you have forgotten your password

1. Go to https://id.seamk.fi.
